In the eleventh minute Macík caught Fadera´s attempt from behind of the penalty area. Subsequently domestic goalie caught Pavlík´s shot and in the fourteenth minute Weir missed the target from behind of the penalty area. Subsequently Macík set up domestic attack, but guest defender blocked Brenkus´s shot. In the thirty-fifth minute Takáč did not use Brenkus´s pass and missed the target. About five minutes later Takáč just missed the target from border of the penalty area after a Brenkus´s corner kick. In the forty-second minute Maslo just missed the target after a Brenkus´s corner kick. At the end of the first half time Macík tipped Blahút´s shot and Bimenyimana missed the target.
In the fifty-seventh minute Macík tipped Weir´s attempt. After thirteen minutes Jenčo tipped Kmeť´s dangerous shot from border of the penalty area. In the seventy-ninth minute Bimenyimana hit a crossbar from border of the penalty area. Subsequently Macík tipped Blahút´s dangerous shot. At the end of the match guest defenders blocked Kmeť´s and Kochan´s shots.
Ján Haspra (head coach of MFK Ružomberok): „We knew that a very challenging match was waiting for us, because the opponent from Pohronie is very good. He reasonably strengthened himself before the new season. We played poorly in the first twenty minutes, but over time, especially in the second half time, we got a little bit off. Of course, the optical superiority was on our side, but the opponent got out of our pressure into chances that he did not change, but we also had chances. We wanted to turn the match to our side. We wanted three points, so we threw everything into it. We did not manage to score a goal and we are sad, but on the other hand I would like to commend the boys for what they did physically and especially for the approach, which was much better than on Thursday.“
