In the fourteenth minute Koscelník attempt from behind the penalty area missed the target. After four minutes Macík caught Serečin´s shot. In the twenty-first minute Faško did not make use of a Gal Andrezly´s pass and Macej tipped his dangerous shot. About five minutes later Mareš from behind the penalty area hit the crossbar. In the thirty-second minute Mareš used Maslo´s pass and scored – 1:0. After five minutes Ďubek scored from free kick – 2:0.
In the fiftieth minute Nagy attempt from behind the penalty area missed the target. About four minutes later Mareš used Daniel´s pass and scored after a nice counterattack – 3:0. Subsequently guest players took over the activity. In the fifty-sixth minute Macík caught Regáli´s shot. After hour of a play Koscelník by far missed the target and about two minutes later Kushta missed the target in a big chance. In the eighty-first minute scored Serečin – 1:3. Guest players wanted to score another goal, but they did not use the chances.
Norbert Hrnčár (head coach of MFK Ružomberok): „Michalovce is an unpleasant opponent, they have smart players, who can play with the ball. We were ready for that they do not give the ball for free. Still, I think we had a match under our control and we confirmed it with goals. It was absolutely under control till 3:0 with the fact that after the third goal cameparadoxically unnecessary fear or unnecessary light losses of the ball and there was not coolness on the football boots. We missed easy balls and so the opponent got into the game and threatened our gate, but I think the victory, considering the three goals we shot, is deserved.“
